Announcing the formation of the UK LightWave User Group...
The UKLWUG is being formed by LightWave professionals to provide
a discussion and support forum for LightWave users. As LightWave
becomes available on multiple platforms, we expect to see an
explosion in the number of new users bringing their own problems,
and, indeed, insights into this area.
The UKLWUG is for _registered owners_ of LW on any platform and aims
to provide a high level of service to its members, via a newsletter
and a _closed_ conference on CiX. A waiver of the 25 registration
fee for CIX is available to those not already using CiX.
Discounts and bulk purchase arrangements for LightWave related
products are well in hand, and an issue 0, preview newsletter will
be available shortly.
The founders:
Simon Coombs, freelance graphics/multimedia bod, in the Amiga market
since the early days, and still hoping-against-hope for a turnaround
Alan Marques of The Magic Camera Company, responsible for digital
animation and effects on Gerry Anderson's "Space Precinct", and many
others
John Allardice of the software house Team 17 (Alien Breed, etc)
In addition we have been promised support from NewTek, and that "very
nice man" Ron Thornton (Babylon 5) has promised that if he can't get
around to regular articles, his staff will!!
The annual subscription has been set at 25.
